Ripkik exists to empower athletes to master the mental game to unleash their potential. We provide a roadmap using an alter ego to do exactly that, optimize an athlete’s mindset so they can push through both mental and physical limits and enter new dimensions of potential. At our core, this is who we are and what we are trying to help athletes achieve. Using these concepts, we define Ripkik as: Utilizing an optimal mindset to push through limits and expand the edge of one’s potential.
The definition highlights both the mental and physical aspects of an athlete performing at their very best. It is a verb because it is intended to be a state of action for athletes, something to live out, to strive for and earn.
We truly want to help athletes make the connection between their physical result and their mindset. This occurs when athletes think through the combination of their physical achievement and the mindset psycle that enabled that specific result. So, we encourage athletes who have just set a personal record, performed their best, or broken through a physical barrier to make note of both the physical result and the mindset psycle (situation, thought, feeling, action, and result) that contributed most to that specific result. When an athlete completes this process, they have earned a Ripkik (or as we like to say “hit a Ripkik”). Let’s state that again, to hit a Ripkik, you must record the physical result and the psycle that contributed most to that result.
By tracking your Ripkiks, the psycles that yield your best performances, you can learn how your mind works and how best to maximize its power. You can begin to replicate these psycles on demand which generates consistent peak performance. You can also use combinations of these psycles during the same performance, what we refer to as stacking psycles, to further level up your performance. As you discover and add more and more of these powerful psycles to your alter ego toolbelt, the more optimized your mindset becomes. Bottomline, Ripkiks provide an optimization loop around your best and most monumental performances so you can continue to expand the edge of your potential.
To state that we want to raise the level of performance for all athletes is an understatement. We want a world of sports in which optimal mindsets are driving consistent peak performance and athletes are entering new dimensions of potential on a regular basis.
